INVITATION FOR COMMENT ON NEW LOCAL BANKRUPTCY RULE 2016-5— COMPENSATION FOR DEBTOR’S COUNSEL IN CHAPTER 13 CASES
AND
AMENDED LOCAL BANKRUPTCY FORM 14—CHAPTER 13 PLAN AND NOTICE
Comments are invited to proposed new Local Bankruptcy Rule 2016-5, which will promulgate a presumptively reasonable fee procedure to be utilized in chapter 13 cases in the District of Columbia.
Comments also are invited to the proposed revised Local Form 14—Chapter 13 Plan and Notice. The form for review is not formatted for dynamic use (i.e. check boxes or fillable forms) pending final approval. In addition, certain formatting related to the same remains to be finalized and will be done after the close of this comment period.
The Local Bankruptcy Rule and Form revisions, as set forth above, shall take effect on a date that will be set by the Court, regarding which later notice will be provided. The above cited proposed new Local Bankruptcy Rule and proposed Local Form Chapter 13 Plan and may be accessed at the Court’s internet website under “What’s New” at https://www.dcb.uscourts.gov/news/.
